There is one month left before the deadline for submission of written works to the Film Scripts and Screenplay Ideas Contest "YOUR OWN CINEMA"

As of December 23, there are more than 127 works submitted. The Contest receives the Scripts and Screenplay Outlines from all over Ukraine: Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Nikopol, Kherson, Kharkiv, Poltava, Kramatorsk, Donetsk, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod.

The largest number of Screenplay Outlines is expected to be received in the last weeks before the deadline for submission to the Contest program.

The submission of the Contest works will last till January 22, 2017. After this, the members of short jury begin a selection process of 100 Scripts-finalists. And members of wide jury, which is more than 50 experts, will select the best 20 Scripts of the Project.

The authors of the best 20 Film Scripts will get a royalty fee in amount of 10 000 hryvnas according to the results of the Contest. And from March to September of the next year, 20 Scripts-winners are planning to be filmed. And from autumn 2017 to summer 2018, the Project films will be shown at the Ukrainian cinemas and on TV screens.

• The Contest “YOUR OWN CINEMA” is the first stage of the comprehensive Project “Watch Ukrainian – create your own Future!”. We are looking for interesting cinematographic ideas by creative people, who are able to enrich the cinema and realize their life philosophy more broadly – Mr. Andrii Rizol, a communication expert, producer, promoter of the Project “Watch Ukrainian – create your own Future!” tells about the Project tasks, - For the last 100 years humans haven’t invented any other interesting and better way than cinema to bring up people the message. The cinema itself in form available to the wide audience is able to give a needed impulse, message, to enter the person’s heart and mind. The Project task is to help the society to activate a dialogue about the Future, how we would like to see it, what actions should be done to make it better. – Mr. Andrii Rizol adds.

The Project has already involved more than 100 experienced and well-known cinematographers, artists, communication experts, famous Ukrainians and representatives of socially responsible business who want to develop not only Ukrainian cinema but who are concentrated on people’s motivation for self-development.

The Project “Watch Ukrainian – create your own Future!” is implementing on charity and patronage basis with the efforts of the Project sponsors and promoters. The General Partner and philanthropist of the Project is the Ihor Yankovskyi’s Charity Foundation “Initiative for the Future”. The Project is implementing with the assistance of the State Film Agency of Ukraine, partner support of the “Raiffeisen Bank Aval” and the “Baker Tilly Ukraine” company as well as about 50 organizations and companies. The “Babylon” Company and Association “Promoting cinema in Ukraine – watch Ukrainian!” are the project promoters and developers.
