Watch Ukrainian – create your own Future!

Are you dreaming about better Future? Do you want changes for better in your country? Do you like cinema?

Don’t you think these questions to be strange? These questions are rhetorical and don’t need a priory known answer.  

And what Future are you dreaming about? Can an individual influence the Future?

Who influences changes and creates the Future? How to bring (involve) the need and opportunity for changes in an interesting and understandable way to a wide audience?

Promoters of the Project “Watch Ukrainian – create your own Future!” are sure, that every person can influence changes, thereby shaping their own future, environment, as well as future of the whole country.

An idea of the project lies in a statement that people create the Future!

The comprehensive multi-communicative project “Watch Ukrainian – create your own Future!” aimed at promotion of the Ukrainian cinema and dissemination of the civic and moral values through creative means.

The Project comprises of a set of initiatives: 

Screenwriting Contest “YOUR OWN CINEMA” (November 2016 – February 2017)

Film production of a selection of short-story films adopted of the Scripts winners of the Contest “YOUR OWN CINEMA” (February – August 2017)

A system distribution of short-story films "YOUR OWN CINEMA" in cinemas and television channels of Ukraine (September 2017 - May 2018)

A set of events and special projects on the development and promotion of Ukrainian cinema (within the year 2017)

Information campaign for promotion of the Project Mission and Tasks (November 2016 - May 2018)

The Project Mission is to promote the personal fulfilment and form a tendency for sustainable development of Ukrainian society.

Project tasks are to:

- increase the number of Ukrainian cinema audience;

- disseminate the civic and moral values;

- involve new authors and young cinematographers to film production;

- promote the development of social dialogue about the Future.

The Project is implementing on charity and patronage basis with the efforts of the Project sponsors and promoters. The General Partner and philanthropist of the Project is the Ihor Yankovskyi’s Charity Foundation “Initiative for the Future”. Its purpose is to support talented creative youth, to promote creation of a humane, highly-cultural society of the State.

The project is being implemented with the assistance of the State Film Agency of Ukraine and Partner Support of the “Raiffeisen Bank Aval” as well as the “Baker Tilly Ukraine” company.

As of November 2016, about 50 organizations and companies provide the Project with multi-multi-format promotion and assistance. These are (except as provided): the Ministry of Culture in Ukraine, the Department of Culture of KCSA, the International Association of Marketing Initiatives (MAMI), KM Core, Home of education “Workshop”, Digital Creative Agency MONAMI, Fresh Production Group, “First Recording Company”, information web-site “KINO-KOLO”, “Scroptwritting Studio”, Radio holding ‘ТАVR MEDIA”, ethno festival “Kraina Mrii”, "Molodist” Film Festival, International Contest “The Word Coronation”, “Film script” festival, “Open Night” film festival, the National Festival of Social Advertising (NFSR), the Union of Advertisers of Ukraine (the list of partners is being filled in and will be published on the Project web-site in January 2017).

The project initiative was supported by a large number of experts.

As of November 2016 the project experts are about 100 well-known cinematographers, communication specialists, famous Ukrainians, artists and public figures.

The short jury of the Film Scripts and Screenplay Ideas Contest “YOUR OWN CINEMA” (a jury of 16 experts presented on the Project web-site) was drawn up from the circle of the Project experts. The same with the wide jury formation – but 50 experts (an introduction of full expert list - in January 2017 on the project web-site)

The “Babylon” Company and Association “Promoting cinema in Ukraine – watch Ukrainian!” are the project promoters and developers.

The project promoters are grateful to experts of the “4Keyers.com” company, “Nestor Group”, Initiative “21 November”, Civic Platform "NEW COUNTRY", Council on national unity, National Institute for Strategic Studies and NGO "Cultural Assembly" for inspiration and consulting cooperation in shaping the concept and components of the Project.
