Doctor of Philosophy, Ms. Nataliia Kryvda about the relevance of the Project

We are proud that the "Watch Ukrainian - create your own Future!" consolidated a wide circle of experts from various fields. Due to its format of communications the Project receives a constant professional advisory support. Such wide-ranging expertise allows the Project to carry an important mission apart from cinematic activities. The expert of the Project, Ms. Nataliia Kryvda shared her thoughts about the relevance of the Project. She is a doctor of philosophy, a professor at the Department of Ukrainian Philosophy and Culture at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, an academic director of MBA programs of Edinburgh Business School Eastern Europe, an expert of Reanimation Package of Reforms:

- At the invitation of Mr. Andrii Rizol, I had the privilege of being at the origins of this Project. We agreed that culture is the basis of the country transformation, and culture is values. Actually, in the Ukrainian philosophical and sociocultural discourse, these values were identified and prescribed by experts, including the experts of the Nestor group. However "cold" texts do not knock in our hearts. The theoretical thesis had to turn into something obvious, impressive, active. Mr. Rizol rightly decided that it was the art of cinema that should become the emotional leader, that would reveal the values ​​of the new Ukrainian society, objectify them into artistic images, stories, insightful and frank stories. Together with Mr. Andrii Rizol, Ms. Olena Salata and other experts as well as scholars, we were choosing the following theses, such valuable maxims that could be described in the artistic language of the short-story film. Frankly speaking, I was inspired by the courage of Mr. Rizol, his belief in the fact that one can find strengths, resources, and gather creative intelectuals - and take such films after all, launch them and, thus, start talking to millions of compatriots about the main thing - what we, as the community, place higher than anything, for what we are ready to live and die, what we will pass on to the new generations.

The Project should become national, receive broad financial support. Undoubtedly, the Project should become a part of the struggle for the hearts and minds of our citizens, some of which remain indifferent rather than active. The films must be shown throughout the country - especially in the East, in areas close to the frontline. An Art does what propaganda can not achieve - attracts hearts, brushes sprouts of hope, gives a sense of belonging to the nation, pride in your people. As a specialist, I would like to claim that one talented film, text or camera shot can do more than gigabytes of propaganda noise.
